Powder Bell Cup
Powder Bell spraying technology
The powder atomizer concentrates on two major technologies used in paint applications: rotary atomization and corona effect.
The powder is pushed into the sprayer by a pump and injected into a bell (or cup). The rotation of the bell driven by an air turbine helps smooth the powder spray and increase the powder flow rate.
An air shroud can be adjusted around the powder spray to match different factor surfaces and can be either penetrating in corners or wide for roomy and flat surfaces
The bell is set to high voltage creating an electric field between the sprayer and the substrate and delivers charges to the powder grains.
Following the electrical lines, the powder grains are driven to the substrate on which they remain attracted.
The high voltage parts are all within the bell sprayer itself. The cascade gets its setpoint signal from a generator including all the safety and limits on the control loops for voltage and current.
All the parameters are adjustable on a single controller:
- High voltage
- Turbine speed
- Air shroud
- Powder flow rate
This controller can be manually operated. It is more comfortable to connect to a paint line management system in order to operate the paint booth in automatic mode within an industrial and flexible process.
- Reliable - cutting edge powder finished surfaces
- High coverage power for wide surfaces
- Wrap-around effect and smooth paint film
- High coverage power for wide surfaces
- Less time to cover more area
- Controlled thickness distribution for even thickness of the powder coating
- Less powder waste reduces the cost of waste treatment
- Reliable - reduced and easy maintenance
- Environment friendly - better transfer efficiency for less powder waste.
INOBELL has a lower speed of powder particles but also a better homogeneity in the spray.
INOBELL allows a wider pattern shape, which leads to a better coating with uniform thickness.
INOBELL has a better charging power with its round electrod at the bell edge, allowing higher flows in operation with better charge Vs conventional gun applicators.
The uniformity of the thickness coated helps to reduce the total volume of powder delivered in the process.
